- Clutter is often simply rubbish or recyclable waste, however many people struggle when deciding which items to file and which to ditch. Bear in mind we only access around 4% of the paper we keep – so be ruthless! Invest in a shredder that will shred 100 pages or more – this is the most efficient way to dispose of confidential files.
- Have a place for everything. Drawers – either built into your desk, freestanding or desktop – will eliminate all those bits and pieces that clutter horizontal spaces. Don’t put it down, put it away!
- Wall mounted shelves are a huge help if you’ve got a small space to work with and allow you to have easy access to everything in your immediate workspace. Wasting time looking for items eats into your productive working hours. Continue reading
